NYFC Competition WINNERS
The NYFC Competition is open to flutists 18 to 27. The winners perform at the Club's spring concert (typically in April). In years prior to the NYFC Competition, the spring concert performers were selected by teacher recommendation.
Young Musicians Contest WINNERS
The Young Musicians Contest, started in 2008, is open to flutists under age 18. The winners perform in a concert that is usually at the Club's Flute Fair.
NYFC Composition Competition WINNERS
The New York Flute Club has held two Composition Competitions since its founding in 1920, both intended to encourage the creation of new works for the flute. The first competition was won by Eldin Burton in 1948 for his Sonatina. The winners of the second competition, in 2014, were Scott Rubin, Heeyoung Yang, and Nadine Dyskant-Miller.
