Our April 22, 2017 Meet-up

Twenty-two members of the NYFC Ensemble met in the basement room of Studios 353 for the Saturday, April 22 rehearsal. Co-director Denise Koncelik led the group through the pieces planned for the May 7 concert (co-director Mark Vickers was away). Players should arrive at the performance venue (Pearl Studios, 500 Eighth Avenue, Room 414)  about hour before the 3:00 pm concert; attire should be black and white with an optional touch of color. Our icebreaker question for the session, suggested by Catherine Xu, was "Tell us your favorite piece of advice for playing the flute." The answers were varied and interesting and everyone came away with at least one new idea to think about.
